Margaret Louise Thompson, age 84, a resident of Ft. Scott, died early Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Medicalodge of Ft. Scott. She was born October 13, 1927, in Visalia, California, the daughter of Jess Thompson and Annabelle McNeil Thompson. For many years, Margie helped her parents on the family farm she later moved to the Tri-Valley group home and later moved to Medicalodge. She enjoyed doing household chores and working in the garden. She also enjoyed crafts.

She is survived by her two step-sisters, Jane Burns and June Bloomfield, both of Ft. Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Violet Thompson; two sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Irene Jankey, a brother, Raymond Thompson and a step-brother, Jess Thompson, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 4th at the West Plains Cemetery. Family and friends may meet at the Cheney Witt Chapel prior to leaving for the cemetery at 9:45 A.M.
