Vivian Anne Bloesser, age 69, a resident of rural Richards, Missouri, died Friday, May 4, 2012, at Ft. Scott Mercy Hospital. She was born January 28, 1943, in Nevada, Missouri, the daughter of Otis H. Nichols and Sylvia McDaniel Nichols. Vivian married Larry Dean Bloesser on July 23, 1961, at Richards, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2007. Vivian had worked in the dietary department at Ft. Scott Mercy Hospital for over thirty-five years. She was a member of the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Deepwater, Missouri. She enjoyed sewing and bird watching and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs.

Survivors include a daughter, Carmen Thrasher, McCloud, Oklahoma; a grandson, Vincent Hill and wife, Lauren, Joplin, Missouri; five granddaughters, Samantha Sevart and husband, Jim, Chanute, Kansas, Brittani Watson and husband, Jake, Humboldt, Kansas, Kelcey Lowry, Overland Park, Kansas, Kaleena Thrasher and Jaimie Thrasher, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and six great-grandchildren, Rhylee, Andie, Aiden, Tyler, Kaydence and Braylynn. Also surviving is a sister, Velma Beckford, Fort Scott, Kansas. In addition to her husband, he was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Shelly Lowry, a granddaughter, Amanda Rhea Hill and a brother, J. D. “Nick” Nichols.

Her nephew, Rev. Bryan Keith, will conduct funeral services at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Richland Cemetery, Richards, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
