Betty June Dallam, 94, Lawson, Missouri, and formerly of Independence, Kansas, and Fort Scott, Kansas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 12, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Grace Dallam. On April 27, 1935, she was united in marriage to Emmett Dallam. They were married for 57 years until his death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Dallam.
Survivors include two daughters, Grace Anne Herold and husband Grady, Kingwood, Texas, and Sara Field and husband Charles , Lawson, Missouri; four grandchildren, Paul Uttinger, Chris Peterson, Betsy Pirotte and Mike Herold; and five great-grandchildren, Dallam and Carver Peterson, Lauren Pirotte, and Emma and Catherine Herold.
There was cremation. Pastor Homer Davidson will conduct graveside services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kansas. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the Cheney Witt Carriage House in Fort Scott. Memorials are suggested to the Lawson United Methodist Church, P.O.
