Ida May Killion, age 67, resident of 2278 Jayhawk Road, Fort Scott, Kansas, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was born May 31, 1942 in Fort Scott, the daughter of Fred Jackson and Josephine Stallings Jackson. Ida May was a member of the Fort Scott High School class of 1960. She married Richard “Dick” Stark in 1958. They later divorced. She married Clyde Killion on March 17, 1966 in Fort Scott. She was a 20 year employee of Mercy Health Center in material management. She attended the Church of Christ. Her favorite time was spent camping at Farlington Lake.

Survivors include her husband Clyde, of the home; one son, Rick Stark and wife Peggy, McCune, Kansas; three daughters, Pam Bowen and husband Jim, Alma, Nebraska, Terry Rice and husband Danny, Waverly, Kansas, and Kathy McGehee and husband Ron, Fort Scott. Also surviving is a brother, Robert Jackson, Riverside, California; a sister, JoAnne Kelley, Fort Scott; and ten grandchildren, James, Michael and Matthew Bowen, Nolan and Karley Stark, Allie and Jamie Rice, Alex, Bethany and Cody McGehee. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, Ted Kelley and Donald Key.

William James Schafer, Mercy Pastoral Care, will conduct funeral services at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday in the Community Christian Church. Burial will follow in Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Monday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Friends of Farlington Lake and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, P.O.
